Ankogel – Mallnitz does not count to the biggest Austrian ski resorts but you will love its atmosphere with a touch of traditions and Alpine views. Ankogel is located in the Hohe Tauern national park, at the end of the Mallnitz village, which is about 30 km from the Mölltaler Gletscher resort. Ankogel is ideal for passionate skiers and families with children but can be a great skiing alternative when the weather on the glacier is bad. The winter season begins there usually in the second half of December and ends in spring. The resort is popular mainly for the variety of freeride zones.
Starting from the 2019/2020 winter season, skiers can register for the international Gopass loyalty program to buy selected ski passes online at better prices, collect loyalty points and enjoy various resort benefits. Online ski pass prices are always better when compared to resort ticket offices. The ski passes are valid also in the affiliated resort of Mölltaler Gletscher, of course.
In the ski resort Ankogel you will find a total of 2 cable cars and 3 lifts, 12.8 km of ski slopes, 50% of which are covered with artificial snow. Take a ride with the iconic gondolas up to 2637 m above sea level. From the mountain station you get breathtaking views of the whole valley and surrounding peaks. There are also ski lifts for children and beginners in the ski area.
