The only glacier resort in Carinthia
Mölltaler Gletscher – the only glacier resort in Carinthia is opened all year round and located in the embrace of the Hohe Tauern national park, only a few kilometres from the Flattach village. One of eight Austrian glaciers guarantees top-quality snow conditions for more than 330 days per year, which means ideal skiing conditions for the general public but also for ski clubs and teams. Everybody who has ever stood on top of Mt Schareck and enjoyed views of the neighbouring Gastein valley will come back again to Mölltaler Gletscher for sure.
In the ski resort, you can find together 9 cableways and lifts, 24 km of ski slopes covering the total area of more than 210 ha, from which more than 90% is covered by artificial snow.
To reach the ski resort, you will drive with a typical funicular. Right after getting out, you can experience great wide slopes up to 3000 m sea level.
Starting from the 2019/2020 winter season, skiers can register for the international Gopass loyalty programme to buy selected ski passes online at better prices, collect loyalty points and enjoy various resort benefits. Online ski pass prices are always better when compared to resort ticket offices. The ski passes are valid also in the affiliated resort of Ankogel Mallnitz, of course
Activities in resort
While enjoying your skiing adventures, don´t forget to visit the spectacular panoramic Eissee restaurant at the altitude of 2,800 m and choose from the wide range of delicious dishes and drinks or feast your eyes from on a huge sunlit terrace. There is also a ski rental with a sports shop in the resort, plus a snow park and popular freeride zones depending on snow conditions.
